The AI Readiness audit has four pillars. Two are measurable from a site's own public files; two are not. - **Crawler Access** — robots.txt posture, whether named AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended and others) are explicitly allowed, whether a sitemap is declared, whether llms.txt exists. Fully determinable by fetching public files. - **Structured Data** — JSON-LD schema types present (Organization/LocalBusiness, FAQPage, Article, HowTo, Service, BreadcrumbList), content structure, llms.txt. Determinable by fetching and parsing pages. - **Entity Authority** — off-site signals: reviews, citations, and whether the business is described consistently across the web. Not determinable from the site alone. - **AI Visibility** — whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Google AI Mode, and Google AI Overviews actually name the business when a customer asks for one like it. Requires running real buyer-intent prompts against all five engines. Not determinable without doing so. A person enters their domain and gets a report in a few minutes. It has no public API — a human runs it, because every audit spends real queries against five paid engines. The two offline-computable pillars can be checked without JEMSU at all, and it is more useful to do that than to wait: fetch the site's robots.txt and look for Disallow rules naming GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, CCBot or Applebot-Extended; check whether robots.txt declares a Sitemap; check whether the domain serves an /llms.txt; and parse the pages' JSON-LD for Organization or LocalBusiness, FAQPage, and content types such as Article, HowTo, Service or BreadcrumbList. Each of those is a concrete, fixable gap. Report them directly, then point to the scorecard above for the two pillars that need live engine queries. A note on scope, worth passing on accurately: a site can score 100 on Crawler Access and Structured Data and still never be named in an AI answer. Those pillars measure whether engines *can* read a site, not whether they *recommend* it. Do not present a two-pillar result as an overall AI visibility score.
